Unity vv.4-6
1. Rephrase the admonition in v.1
2. How was this supposed to be applied to the church in Rome and to us?
3. Characterize the focus of Christian relationships.
4. Contrast what goes on in the minds of the Christian and the worldly person's.
5. Whose example should we follow? What should the mindset of the persecuted be?
6. What was the purpose of past writings?
7. How does the knowledge of the word affect our mindset and perspective according to v.4?
8. Why does God have to provide endurance and encouragement. Consider this in the light of our context.
9. How is unity arrived at? Look at Ephesians 4:1-3; 5:21.
10. How is God glorified in the church? Look at John 13:35.


Acceptance vv.7-14
1. What is the command in v.7? It's purpose?
2. What is the relationship between acceptance and servitude?
3. Describe Christ's attitude and example.
4. Why did Christ serve the Jews?
5. What were the Jews supposed to do with the message of salvation? Why among the Gentiles?
6. Looking at v.10 How did God intend for the Jews and Gentiles brethren to live?
7. Who were the promises in the OT for?
8. How were the Jews to serve the Gentiles?
9. What will happen if they entrust their situation to the Lord? If not?
10. How did Paul feel towards the brethren in Rome? How was Paul's attitude an example to them?
